東屋企画、埼玉県春日部市の松田桐箱さん製作の作品です。
桐は高い防腐・防虫・調湿効果があり、貴重な保存箱の素材として古来より用いられてきました。
虫やカビ、湿気から大切なお米をしっかりと守ってくれます。
この米櫃は、釘などの金物を一切使わずに、桐の無垢材で作られています。
毎日の出し入れに便利な引き戸つきの蓋は、容易に取り外せ、
必要に応じた内部の清掃も手軽に行えます。
同じ桐でできた一合升がついています。

You can keep the fresh delicious state of rice and prevents ingress of insects, molds and humidity.
It is made of solid wood, kiri-zai, without using any metal objects such as nails.
A lid with a sliding door open and close smoothly can be easily removed,
and it's enable to clean the inside as needed.
As an accessory, there is a Masu made of the same paulownia.
We have also a different size for 10kg.
*Because it is made of natural wood, each piece has a unique grain pattern.
